Other Things You Don't See Everyday...

When we got to the meeting tonight we stepped off the elevator only to meet a rat (yup, you read it right...) a black one with a long tail ... waiting to take it down. We jumped off (literally) and he ran onto the elevator. Apparently he was on his way to meet his cousin the bat that was swooping around in the foyer of the building we were meeting in. I've been in ministry for a long time and have met some "rats" along the way, but none of them ever had a tail.

Everybody still up for a trip over here??

The upside is we found a pizza joint here. It was fabulous to eat something familiar!

We had a great time together tonight. We took care of business by doing some spiritual house-keeping. Let's just say that our friends here have a bright future and their coach knows he is well supported by those around him. Tomorrow is going to be great!!

How many rats helped "make" the pizza though!? I saw a mouse in a restaurant once and you've gotta wonder... :) Blessings to you regardless!

When I was in Amsterdam I noticed that there was at least one resident cat in every shop and in most eating establishments as well. There was a cat sitting with its food dish on top of the bar in an Indonesian restaurant I went to. Later I read that Amsterdam has one of the worst rodent issues of any city in the world, thus cats are revered in a quasi-Egyptian manner.

I chose not to mention the cats on leashes in crates waiting to be sold for dinner on the street. I saw some puppies in a box that I thought were kind of cute until someone mentioned that they were likely going to be "hot dogs" within a few hours...

So, any idea what type of sausage was on that pizza?

When Will was in China he was with some company men who did the ordering off the menu. He ended up eating snake soup with 5 different kinds of snake and whole baby pigeons, beaks and all!!! I am all for the "When in Rome" theory but I draw the line when my food includes forked tongues and beaks
Will said the soup was good and the pigeon was crunchy.
Be blessed and highly favored
